ESL's South East Europe Championship has seen its online stage reach completion and four teams are now headed to Bucharest, Romania for the offline finals.
Announced back in March, the first season of the ESL South East Europe Championship has slowly seen regional qualifiers, national qualifiers, a main round of group stage action and online playoffs take place, with teams from the Southern European region all vying to qualify for the eventual offline finals.
The offline finals themselves scheduled for May 8-10 at the East European Comic Con at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre in Bucharest, Romania, with $2,200 total up for grabs.
The first two teams to qualify via the online playoffs were Rock and XPC, a Hungarian squad and a Romanian team respectively.

A third place decider match between Bulgarian HEADSHOTBG and Turkish Space Soldiers saw the latter prevail, cementing their attendance to the offline finals as well.
And the final team to attend will be Bulgarian GPlay, who have received the wildcard spot despite it originally being designated as solely for Romanian teams as the nation will be hosting the finals. ESL's reasoning for this change is that GPlay won the trial season of the ESL SEE Championship and they are one of the stronest contenders from the region.
